I have a led string patio lights, which was manufactured in china. The led string has a solar panel and insight it, a couple of 18650 rechargeable batteries connected to a circuit board with an 'RP-TZ15C' identifier engraved in the board I've been investigating about how to solve my problem with it, because I've bought two (2) in a row, and both have the same problem: they worked great for about one and a hal months, and then stopped to work at all. The problem is like this: The small solar panel suppose to charge the 18650 batteries inside it when the sun shines, and when its dark, the voltage drop (the device does not have a light sensor, I've checked) should trigger the circuit to turn on the lights. Then, after the charge depletes and/or the sun shines again, the charging cycle should restart again, and the lights should be turned off accordingly.

Here you will see some pics about the device:

The light sensor is probably based on the output voltage from the panel - the lamps turn on when the output drops below a preset level.

You might start by checking to see if the panel is operating correctly in sun and dark by measuring how much output it's delivering.

Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!
