[#2949]

I’ve been working on a river table project recently and have been using a deep pour epoxy for the main pour.

So far, I’m pretty happy with how it’s been working, especially for the thicker sections. I’m still experimenting with the pour depth, bubble control, and getting the final surface as clean as possible.

If anyone here is also into river tables or deep pour resin projects, I’d be happy to share some photos of the process and the finished table once it’s done.

For anyone curious, this is the deep pour resin I’ve been using:

Would also love to hear any tips from people who have made river tables before — especially when it comes to finishing and polishing.

I'd love to see it! That sounds like such an awesome project. I've never worked with epoxy besides JBWeld, so I won't be any help, but I'd still like to see it.

My worktable is a site of frequent detonations. Please knock so I don't start a Lithium fire when you startle me.

@imp-inventor

Thanks! I appreciate it. I’ll definitely share some progress photos once I get a little further along.

I’m still experimenting with the pour depth and trying to keep bubbles under control, especially around the thicker sections of the table. This is the deep pour epoxy I’m using for the project:

I’m also curious to see how the final sanding and polishing stage turns out. That will probably be the part I spend the most time on.
