Hi, I am new here, I watched the Reuse- Old working and Not Lap Tops and the Parts (speakers-microphone- screen sheetingss+ so on!). During this video= At the point Mr.DIY PERKS -was taking the Internal Hard Drive OUT then he Placed it into a "usb" Housing of some sorts? I do not know what this was nor how to get what is inside.
My MB from 2006- White Housing,My 1st MB "it has been years" I have held HOPE for access and readability for My YEARS of missing photos + videos . Long ago the screen went BLACK-I did the light through the Apple trick + did infact see inside the sign in area,I believe meant POWER TO IT WAS ON. I had not understanding or Guidance. I tried to plug into my HDMI with my Television and turn on and off + remove battery and put back. I did not know how to use recovery things and STILL DO NOT. For the life of me- I try so hard- I have cognative Disability+dyslexia+ADHD...BUT I TRY.
SO every month or so I have attempted to get the thing turned on, UNTILL one day I opened the Box to try another thing I had read "AND MY BATTERY HOUSING AND CONTENTS WERE SWOLLEN" SO I GUESS THE DEVICE HAD BEEN LEFT ON AND I do not know what swollen battery might create!
I took batery out + have been waiting and praying for HOPEing for a SMART Computer person, to HELP ME GAIN MY Photos and Videos+ what ever is stored on the MB WHITE..
in the INTERNAL HARD DRIVE.I am in Centrail NJ ... and thank you all for hearing me, Hopefully This can be done- I am very bad with reading and carrying out Directions, I try so hard.

Straightforward enough - can you upload clear pictures of the hard drive and the connector and we'll take it from there.

thank you so much for responding!! WHAT DO I DO please. Possibly I do-did not explain properly- I have nothing open- I do not trust my twisted minds ways- like if I read turn right 2xs then half turn left- I second guess what words I read+ do follow-But then forget if I did it!
I am OFTEN not understood- and others think IM NOT PAYING ATTENTION. I went to MACHIENISTS SCHOOL- after dropping out, and allways had conflict with measurments! You cant turn metal if you cant measure! I TRY SO HARD!
can you tell me what I would need- We have some internal HD Connector but is for a THINK PAD- that has power! and not mac.
the thing in the amazing video- has Mr. DIY PERKS put the silver HD-- into this thing fully surrounded, at this point is it attached to POWER? DO you know what a swollen battery does if I plug in? OR CAN I" bypass and remove Battery- and just PLUG IN? (possibly crazy Ideas)

and-a full wood shop(not mine) its hubbys! I have 2 domestic plotter-cutters + BUT DAG NABBIT I want a GLOW FORGE THE REAL ONE LIKE no-body else! I had a 3D printer xs2 did not play well w/MAC! BOO-WHOO_! who=me! I waited years for a 3d printer....I waited like 17 years. And then hubby got me a laser cutter- said was 22watts! WHAT MISS PRINT! was 2watt+ I was devastated.
We use to have More money.... then he GOT FORCED RETIRED ---- after 32 years of service for INTEL CORP @ Director of all Regulatory Policy- travleing the world- being on stage at UN.crazy clearance- they NIXED because he was OLDER 57!
INTEL got rid of people that were higher pay grade, hireing cheaper to do his job- BUT His was specialty... HE was at forfront of developing wifi- communication, before INTEL he was at RCA- and David Smirnough?NOT Alcohol - he had a START UP first the ability to put NAUTICAL CHARTS onto DISK-DIGITISE _ HE MADE A GREAT big VACCUME TABLE- a CCD camera- Imagine what GOOGLE EARTH DOES- MY HUSBAND DID all inside- all the seas- what did he name this?"" in 1987 ---a fitting Brillant name MAGELLAN and then he sold the name who ever uses it NOW! I do not know what happened...other than ran out of money... it happens you pour your heart out-then run out. I met him right after his start up tanked and Intel hired him...
HE had to know allot of computer stuff to get nautical sea charts + put on a disk/ UPDATE THESE.
THEN for MACs he designed a MAC BEEP! He had molds made the hard way-in China...BIG BUCKS. Mac Beep was a tiny thing that fit on computer and notified if battery was about to fail- Most people did not know there was a Battery on the devices! His partners spent money that ought not be spent- there is a warehouse full of macbeeps somewhere in PA! HAHAHAH!
I myself have cultivated "IDEAS" for Inventions, I have searched if my ideas were in exsistance, usually not BUT THEN SOON were.
One was "FAIRE SHARE" a pressure/activated sensor,in a cabs back seat,with a onboard camera- It would Take a image or 3- and imediatly send off to a data base/bank? used wifi/bluetooth? I GUESS what ever is called... THIS IS for Drivers SAFTEY- Insurance- companies INFO- make sure where when and who- Picked up(no names but the Pic says 10000 words) in Court for ALABIYs -Missing Persons.... and so much more- because the photo stored off the CAR- (a copy also in car) so erasure was a no go.
Shot in the DARK= Long before anyone came out with a Light up toliet- I created the Shot in the dark- a glowin dark seat/embeded with a landing stripes! HAHAH
I could go on, just 2 sily simple ones. IF MY BRAIN ONLY WORKED CORRECT!
I share these =because MY HUSBAND tells me he Married me BECAUSE I AM SMART- he did not want STUPID CHILDREN! MY HUSBANDS IQ is VERY HIGH. POOR MIKE- I have been driving him crazy "ABOUT"
My MB+MBP+iPAD2+ win devices. and I NEED OUT OF ICLOUD! HE is a win guy thru and thru + despite knowing he is smart..... I BELIEVE THERE are things in a MBP-MB iPAD that are not like a win.
Like when he changed a Screen= I am pretty sure There was something that needed to happen"sign in-out"
or what ever... you might know" I think IM right, But maybe LEFT! hahah.

Sorry, I had a bit of a hard night drinking (mostly water)...
Anyway, apologies for the delay - can you send pictures of the rear of the machine and a clear photo of the data plate - that's the one with the manufacturer, name of the machine and some other information that means something (even I'll have to google it) but with that I can help you strip the hard disk from the machine safely (it's fairly easy but it can mean prying stuff open with a BLUNT knife or a screwdriver. We use a tool called a spudger but you'd have to buy a kit.
Love your art by the way. That's some talent you have there. I love hand drawn stuff, I have a painting here from a dear friend and it means so much to me.
