I have three lcd screens from broken iPads, they were my little brothers, and despite the badly cracked screens, the lcd screen is fine. I watched the video from 5 years ago about making a second display with old screens. There is supposed to be a sticker on the back to let you know which controller board to buy but neither of the screens have it. There is a QR code type thingy on the back, and you can just make out the beginnings of the model number starting with LP... but that it all, what numbers are there is just the serial number for each screen.

Does anyone have one or know the model number of the lcd screen or know which controller board I can use. I feel like the answer is staring me in the face but I don't know.

The iPads are 9th generation, wifi and the model number of the iPad is A2602.

🙁

Have you tried "googling" the model numbers from the back of the screen? I assume Apple don't remove them.

Clear photos (without reflections) are very helpful. If there's text, it's essential people can see it.

Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!

These are the serial numbers of the first lcd screen I have, the others have different numbers, which are just the serial numbers. On the iPad itself, there is no sticker either. in the QR thing, you can see the letters LP. When I pull back the black connector thing, there is some numbers there too: 821-02280-A and on the bottom of that number is 033 (a symbol that looks like an f, followed by):2244

I also looked up the numbers but weird stuff came up like wall mounts and fan mounts.

This popped up (and there are a few others). I've seen them on eBay (for laptop screens) but I haven't checked for iPad. The people are usually pretty helpful (you can go elsewhere of course!) so they should be able to confirm how/if the adaptor works with your screen.
