Hey, I'm Bry from Alberta, Canada.Β

I started watching this channel because I wanted to build a nice hardwood bluetooth speaker.Β  I designed the shape and bought the parts.Β  While cutting the wood for this project I realized it wasn't going to look as cool as I had envisioned.Β  Not wanting to waste the purchased parts I focused on something different.Β  My first completed project directly inspired from this channel ended up being a smart mirror for daughters room. I made it from an old laptop, a thrift store frame and 2 way mirror purchased from Amazon.Β  I built the frame out to allow for hiding the speakers, video controller and other parts.Β  It works well, and looks sharp. Thanks for all the great ideas and content.Β  I'm quite fond of the depth, clarity and variety you put into your videos.Β

I'm a metal fabricator by trade. My current project inspired by this channel is much more involved.

Hi all !
I'm Gaetano from Italy, 30 years old, I love DIY and everything related to "having to work out". I've been following Matt's channel since the 'DIY Sun Blaster' video. I can't wait to see how this forum develops 😎Β

Hi all- glad to be here. Often times in my DIY I find myself saying, "I really hope this works." So this seems like a wonderful resource to lean on!!Β

Hi!,

My name is Charlie. I have a low budget / fairly neglected youtube channel that posts videos every so often; when inspired. IRL I am an IT guy working in a cannabis manufacturing lab located in Massachusetts. Easily 10% of my life is wasted watching youtube videos and trying to learn useless stuff that I will probably end up never needing or using.

Started watching your videos more recently, with the water cooled TV and have skipped around to other videos that interested me. Phone Shelving, Brass Computer, False Sunlight screens, super powerful led. I have a real appreciation for people who can "diy" and get professional looking/working results. I would be very interested in videos that "borrowed" ideas from people like yt/RobertMurraySmith. He produces videos mainly focused around green power, graphene, batteries, and super capacitors(among other ideas). Would like to see your take on a semi portable power station that is semi cheap and yet still capable of running your water cooled tv long enough to watch a movie. Maybe you could get it sponsored by Jackery, they seem more than happy to advertise their products through quality youtube channels such as yours.Β Β

Hi everyone !

Β

I'm RΓ©my, from France.

I am a huge fan of the Youtube channel that I watch since a few years now.

I'd like to make some of projects you did (the desk-computer, the sound system you just did) when I will finish to renovate my house.

I'm not very good at electronics, I'm not that fluent in English but I will do my best.

Β

Thanks to you Matt

Hello - My name is Reed. I like to imagine I'll do more projects to a DIYPerks level of polish. I know a thing or two about brass, copper, and patinas.

Hi, very nice videos!! Just an idea: What about a camper van conversion video? There is a lot of room for creativity there. I'm sure you would make something super cool.

Dude! That's actually on my to-do list! I've wanted to do a camper van conversion for a long time, and there's so much that can be done with it. I wonder if I should make a category for it on the forum... what do you think?

Of course!! When I have money, time and space to get my own van, I would definitely get inspired by your video :'), and would love to give ideas in the forum

Hi Matt!Β

It would be cool if you added a "Show off your build" thread! I have a build that's done, and I would still love to share it and answer questions about it. But it doesn't really seem to fit in any of the current categories. I would also love to see what other people have built already!Β

- Great idea with the forum!Β

Hey! I'm Daniel! I'm a photographer, videographer, digital artist (3D and 2D), programmer, and Pixabay Ambassador (in case you were wondering about my authenticity 😉 )!

I first found DIY Perks when I saw the DIY Camera Slider video. Still want to build one of those sometime!

I love photographing whatever I find out in nature, and occasionally inside too! I especially love using my DIY light box (made from a cardboard box)! I attached one of the photos I used my DIY light box for.

Hi Everyone!

I'm new here (obviously) and I am a beginner to electronics.

I needed a hobby and opted to learn something that I can actually use myself.

I've been following DIYperks for some time now and would love to be able to build half the things you have although living in South Africa bodes a problem as parts are few and far between.

Looking forward to some more great builds! (and discussions)Β

Hi from Lithuania!

Always liked DIY projects. Wood working, electronics. 4years ago I got my "Man's cave" gathered all my tools and time to time spending some time on small projects.Β

From beginning DIY Perks youtube channel was top notch quality. Audio video, information, explanation. It's awesome. Always pleased to see new videos and ideas. I hope this forum will gather people with similar mindset and will help push each other to finish ToDo's projects.Β

Hello from Paris!

Started DIYing about 12 years ago by borrowing a drill and hacking an Xbox pad to build myself a gaming joystick to save money. Ended up costing almost the same as a finished product but I caught the bug!

I marvel at every DIY Perks video and appreciates he keeps budget in mind despite having millions of views. One of them inspired me to build a high intensity led light with good R9 values for my GF's YT channel. She usually likes what I do, except for the sawdust that is. Anyway I hope this forum will grow into a nice community, don't have much to say myself except a shoutout to the DIY Perks dude.

so, what brought me here on the forum is a question i have in my mind. As i want to make a 2.2ch. 12 w speaker system, i wanted to know what values of Resistor and capacitor can I use for the low pass and high pass filters, low pass frequency required is upto 1000hz, and high pass filter range is 1000 and above. Also, the capacitor used should be polarized or non polarized? plz help, looking forward for replies, and lookinf forward to help others as well.
