Hi Matt,

I have been subscribed to your channel for several years now, and I have learned a lot just by watching your projects. Your recent video about recycling old laptop boards into all-in-one PCs was one of the reasons I finally decided to post here.

I have always wondered how you approach learning completely new skills or topics. Your videos often involve things that need proper knowledge to execute it correctly, you always manage to research them thoroughly, understand them well enough to build something.

I would love to know more about your learning process. Specifically:

  1. How do you approach a topic you know almost nothing about? Where do you usually start your research?

  2. How do you separate good information from bad information? At what point do you feel confident enough to stop researching and start building?

I know a lot of the learning comes from trial and error, but I would really appreciate hearing how you think through the process from the moment you have an idea to the point where you're confident enough to make it a reality.

I got information from the Discord server that this forum might be my best chance of reaching you, so I thought I would give it a shot. Whether you have time to reply or not, thank you for all the work you put into your videos. They've been consistently entertaining, educational, and motivating over the years.

Thanks again, I will continue to enjoy watching your work!
