Hi,
I want to put a M1 Macbook Pro 16inch (without the screen) inside my Korg piano and turn the Korg into a laptop form factor with piano keys added on top. But I need the Macbook speakers to be on each side of the Korg's enclosure. The Korg is wider than the Macbook, so I will need to make the speaker cables that connect to the Macbook logic board longer. These cables are very small and fragile, how can I make them longer?
Thanks for the help!
Photograph? I know what you mean about those wretched internal cables, absolutely nightmare. This is this is true cost of factory production where machines do all the really tricky work. I got a laser toy for the cat a week or so back (Ali) and it almost caught fire within seconds of being turned on due to poor quality soldering - and zero protection.
Amazing how much those little LiOn cells stink!
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!
No worries.
Um... figured that might be how they'd done it. Those are custom flexible ribbon cables, which means specially created boards if you wanted to break out the cables to something a "hooman" can work with. The clips are available but I don't know the pitch or type someone else might have an idea but without that we're on a hiding to nothing unfortunately.
This is the price of miniaturisation unfortunately.
