My own experience of 3D printing is limited to FDM with PLA and some similar compounds but now I find myself needing some custom metal parts so I wonder if anyone has tried the like of JLC (my usual board house) with metal parts - primarily using SLS tech (that's the laser one).
Anyone got any experience in this emerging technology fancy chiming in?
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!
Hello, you can order custom parts from online 3D printing service websites. Shapeways Or Xometry.
How has your experience been? I'm finding pricing a little tricky - obvs. it's a case of doing a PLA (or similar) version first but I don't have much clue what sort of money we're talking.
