I have a 24V DC brushless motor that I removed from a dual temp sleep number fan box that was no longer working (some of the resistors were scrapped off). I am wanting a better way just to power the blower fan to blow cool air under a blanket but I am not sure how to go about powering the fans.

Can you drop a picture of what you have with all the wires shown so we can get an idea what we're dealing with?

Cheers.

Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!

Weird how people make a post (OP) and then vanish. I wonder if they are expecting an answer pulled out of whole cloth? 🙂

Seems the OP would be better off using a new part given the resistors have snapped off. One of these days I'm going to learn how to do a motor control because I have a project that needs one, only the usual hi-torque motor I have in mind lacks a Hall sensor or any other form of sensing the instantaneous rotational speed. There are ICs to do this (naturally) but I find it helps to know what's going on to better understand what the black box does. And then use a black box. 😉
