Hello Perks DIY-Perks-Friends,
the last days my 55" Philips Ambilight TV crashed from the wall and the display is broken.
After a while being shocked I did a bit research how to replace the broken display, but I didn't find the display as a spare part.
Now another idea came in my mind.
Are there idea's out there, how I can reuse the good parts of the TV.

well, TV to light panel conversion is the easiest, just ditch the screen and get power for the backlights. But if the TV is relatively new, try selling it to someone who can fix it.

I really would liike to see Philips displayfailure TV:s Android part modded to As Android box with HDMI output and with Remote working.
maby even connection for Ambilight portion to be connected and used for example with non Android and non Ambilight TV.
