Hello everyone,
I'm in search of a small display, specifically between 7 and 11 inches, with a minimum refresh rate of 120Hz. While I'm open to any type of input—be it USB-C, DisplayPort, or HDMI—a resolution of at least 720p would be a nice bonus, although it's not a strict requirement. My main focus is on the display's size and refresh rate.
I've tried to find such a display and a compatible video board on my own, but it's been a bit of a challenge. I'm a software engineer, so while I'm comfortable with tech, this is a bit out of my comfort zone. I'm willing to invest time and effort into this, but some guidance would be incredibly helpful.
If anyone knows of an existing product that meets these criteria, I'd be grateful to hear about it. Alternatively, if you could point me toward a suitable screen and video board, that would be fantastic.
Many thanks in advance for your assistance!
Best, Petar Pjanic
The display for a Xiaomi Pad 5 seems to be what you'd like (2560 x 1600, 120Hz refresh rate, per GSMArena). It looks like it takes the same eDP ZIF connector that most tablets take.
I think for that high resolution at 120Hz, it's a 40-pin eDP connector and similar driver board: https://www.amazon.com/VSDISPLAY-NV156QUM-N32-LP156UD1-SPB1-LTN156FL02-L01-B156ZAN02-3/dp/B07S619JY7/
Personally, I'd go with Amazon for purchasing the driver board, because if it doesn't work your counterparty risk is lower.
I've never done this, so YMMV.
