Hello! Looking for some advice!
I'm not a massive DIY nerd but I do like to dabble occasionally. My nerdiness is mostly in comic books and sci-fi/fantasy 🙂
I'm using the shell of an old vintage speaker and putting a JBL clip 4 into. I'm wondering how hard it would be to wire up some kind of external power switch to it. Right now its just a soft suppresion button with a rubber logo on it. Does this seem within reason, or should I move on?
Would appreciate any insight.
Thanks!
-Ben
Photos might help Ben - but those buttons are often covering a very small microswitches which are a nightmare to tinker with unless you're pretty handy with a soldering iron.
That said (and I don't know your exact application) you might be better off with a small amplifier from Ali Express (I think Amazon likely do them too).
These little Class D MOSFETs are a marvel of modern engineering because they deliver some serious performance in very small form factors and can be powered of a general purpose power brick.
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong!
