Hi all,

so am working on little project for a display piece, and need help on what to do next.

I have an old bluetooth speaker i have taken apart for the board and speakers i would like to add rgb led strip that would react to the music also be great if could all run off same rechargeable battery .

 

any help would be amazing

There are probably easier ways, but the method I know of requires an arduino/nodemcu and a sound sensor if you want to make it yourself. There are store-bought versions that have everything you need though. There should be plenty of tutorials, but I'm happy to explain it if you need help.

@pimanema Hi, thanks for replying yeah been looking for ages to find the info i need but haven't found what i want exactly, and I don't have the know how at all to do it myself.

The bluetooth speaker was an old but pricy unit so definitely want to use that and already had some LED strips so was hoping all would need is a sound sensor and knowing how to connect it. 

is there anything you need to know about the parts am using?

@sloof Using new LEDs would probably be better than taking away ones from your speaker. If you really wish to, take them off and attach them via extension cables. They will keep their function on the speaker.

If you want music RGB, check out YouTube for tutorials and code.
