So, I have an old (2020ish) laptop which has served me well over the years. However, it is time to upgrade and the keyboard has gone out. I was going to replace the keyboard, but once I got the thing tore down, I decided it would be better suited as an AIO PC for the wife. It has RTX 2060 and Ryzen 7 5800H in it, so it will more than handle her needs. I was hoping to find some guide to do something similar to the AIO laptop/monitor build I was watching on YT. But I'm not seeing it. Am I just being dumb?
Hi. There is a DYIperks video you are looking for that was done 4 years ago. Just wondering, if only the keyboard is bad, why not replace it? An AIO is not very portable.
Bit disappointed in Lenovo - four years? A machine should last at least twice that even in daily use.
I have a 2023 Legion and I'll admit that I utterly hate it. I'm sat on the bed right now with an X240 (fourth generation i5) that's just now starting to get a bit "iffy" and that's with the cat jumping on it (and he's big lad too).
I got it because I need a portable renderer but I find the keyboard terribly squashed up and difficult to use with any speed.
Plus it howls like a banshee even under light load.
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong and it's a very *expensive* way to learn!
