Hello, I would like to ask how to extend the antenna of the receiver for submarine. I am currently doing an ROV (remotely operated vehicle) and I'm using FlySky receiver and transmitter. I wanna extend the antenna of the receiver since 2.4 GHz will be blocked by the water but I don't know how to connect wires and extend the antenna.
How deep is your ROV going to go?
This is an interesting question. Secondary antennas do exist and I'm assuming you're thinking of floating it somehow, like a Sonaboy perhaps? And then towing it behind the sub.
I've never tried this but water won't block a signal immediately, it's very like visible light (same type of radiation) so you will be able to get away with some amount of water. It's a more a question of how much.
Take everything I say with a pinch of salt, I might be wrong!
You can 3d print your antenna with metal 3d printer filament.
