First of All, I feel this is going to be one of the biggest maker forums in the near future. Kudos @diyperks.
I am from India, in case it wasn't evident from the title. My English not good, make sense the words by yourself plz.
Now for the request. I'm a total noob when it comes to making speakers. I am looking for good resources for building a good DIY audio setup for my living room. The room is around 15 x 20 ft. I intend to use it with my TV and a console. The main issue I am facing is finding a good list of parts which can be purchased here (online) and good step by step instructions. I know that in terms of instructions I'm fairly well covered (thanks DIYPerks), but the parts list, finding and choosing the right PCBs and amps and other electronics are getting confusing.
If anyone can point me towards the right resources, it will be swell. 😛
You could always use the parts list from the latest DIY Perks video? There's a build video coming as well 😊
A lot of this depends on if you want to go down the pre-built path of DIY for your crossovers and amps. There's tonnes of Raspberry Pi based systems around with good documentation and forums.
The youtuber, Tech Ingredients has two separate videos on DIY audio speakers as well and are very useful, as he explains the science behind the speakers he makes. The speakers are easily reproduced, and changed to suit your needs while understanding how they work.
Aswell as, one video ond DIY acoustic panels, and how to make your own for cheap.
I hope these three videos can help you better understand how to make a gread audio set-up.
